TURKEY HASH ...another great turkey recipe to try ! Nice one !

  • 1-lb of turkey burger
  • 1- box of frozen petite peas
  • 1- jar of mushrooms
  • 4-5 red potatoes (depending on size)
  • garlic powder
  • salt & pepper
  • flour 3-4 tablespoons
  • water 2-3 cups

First brown turkey burger with spices. Don't be stingy with spices but don't go crazy. Cook meat so it's almost a little crispy, but not much.As burger is cooking, wash and slice red potatoes thinly.
Meanwhile, allow frozen peas defrost.Once the meat is cooked, add the flour and coat the turkey meat well. This will make a great gravy if you put in the flour now, but if you wait and put it in after adding water, it will be lumpy!

After that is done, add water. Next, add sliced potatoes as the cooked starch from the potatoes and the flour is what makes the gravy. This will take some time, so be patient. As the water turns to gravy, add the peas and mushrooms at the very end. You can adjust the amount of potatoes you use based on your families needs. The great turkey recipe is ready to serve...Enjoy the feasts !
